30 Sept Wine Tasting at The Bottle Shop

Wow, what a great and fun crowd at this evening’s wine tasting! 10 good wines and 5 mystery wines! The great weather helps. We are introducing a second, new category of wine at the local tastings: Crowd Favorite. A Crowd Favorite is different from our Wine of Note in that a Crowd Favorite is not unique, which is the first criteria to be our Wine of Note. Our Wine of Note (WoN) by definition is also a crowd favorite (criteria #2 for our WoN). So a wine that ends up being a Crowd Favorite only has that single criteria, but it must be overwhelmingly so.In the case of 2019 Fess Parker Pinot Noir from Santa Rita California, by the time I went to take a picture of the bottle it was sold out!! And they had put the empties in the recycling. So I was left with a picture of the price tag (price before wine tasting discount) and an empty shelf. Don’t worry. If you are looking for an all around good Pinot Noir that doesn’t break the bank, The Bottle Shop has more coming in later next week.
